Glory =)

This month has been amazing!!!! I have petitioned God for about 2 years now for His plan for me. I have felt that it is to go to Germany and be part of the mission field with Teach Beyond and Black Forest Academy in Kandern. So, my goal was set for June 1st to be at 80%. At the beginning of May I needed $11,000 to reach that goal. The first week I recieved $250. The second week another $250. The third week $1800 and a place to live with cheaper rent than my original budget, so that lowered my total goal. And so far this week, $1800 and I'm expecting more checks to come in before Tuesday, June 1st!!!!! It's not only been a testiment to me and how much God is faithful, but to my friends around me. We say all the time that God is faithful and he supplies all our needs, but really, we think we are self sufficient and we work so we can supply our needs. It's truly amazing how God has worked and I know He's not finished.

I've been emailing with my new roomies :) I'm really excited about getting to know them. They are awesome young women who love the Lord. Again, God knew and planned this miraclous journey :)

Thank you Lord!

You know. God plans all the steps of our lives. I just want to say thank you Lord for planning all my steps an carrying me through the tough times. I know that there is only one set of footprints for a while and in several places. =) Thank you Lord for your soveriegnity and righetousness. I wouldn't be where or who I am today with Him.

Phil 3:12-14 I am not perfect, but I am running the race and going forward towards what God wants me to be. I'm not looking back but pressing on towards the goal.

the community....

There was a BBQ fundraiser on my behalf this Sunday. It was a lot of work, time, effort, talking, planning, driving, cooking and heart that went into it. I am honored that my friends and co workers would stand behind me and support me so much that they would invest so much of their time and efforts into a benefit for me. God truly blessed. :) So many people from the community came out to buy BBQ. So many people that I work with and their families helped out. Tina opened up her home and let us destroy her kitchen to make all the plates. Creagor drove the plates from their house to the parking lot where we were set up. Teachers skipped church to make the plates. Others went early to deliver tables for us to use. People from my church made desserts and brought them. Tommy cooked ALL day saturday so the brisket would be YUMMY!!! I am honored and amazed that so many people are so giving of their time.

So, during the selling of the food. We were kinda busy. There were about 4 people at the table buying 8 to 10 plates to go. I looked up and saw Mark. He's a local special needs adult that walks around town. I've seen him before and so I've heard his story. He goes to one of the local churches and he walked up behind this group that was there. He was looking at their plates like a kid in a candy store. They got their plates and walked back to their cars. As they walked away he did too, but without a plate. I told the other teacher there whom he knows to get his attention. I went and got him a plate and put all the condiments on it. He was so happy! It was great to see his smile. :) I offered him dessert and he said no he didn't eat that because he is diabetic. He took the plate and as he walked off he said he was going to eat it and be healthy! It warmed my heart as I heard the Holy Spirit reminding me of the verse, "what ever you do to the least of these, you do unto me". I never thought I would get to live that out. And then upon reflection, this one moment is what God has called us to do. Go out and be Jesus with skin on.

Today, I was blessed by a friend. He sold a truck and gave me some of what he made to go towards my goal. So, after the BBQ and a plate lunch for next week and the proceeds from the truck, I only have $9000 left to raise before June 1st.

It's been truly amazing to see what all God has done already. I have a few days left and everything else is falling into place as far as timing and details. So, I'm just trusting God and waiting on Him to provide. I also found out today that my cusion IS going to be able to take over my payments for my car. It will help me out and her :) It's just another way God is providing and planning.

Thank you God for your sovereignity. I know you have a plan and a purpose. I am waiting for you. I am trusting you. I've given you all of me. Take me and use me. :)

just another Wednesday????

Sometimes when we get up in the monring we think "oh.....it's just another day!" Well, I don't think I thought that this morning, but I didn't expect it to be such a bleesing filled day. I will admit it was another "regular" day at school. After school I met with a wonderful woman who is going to make me their mission project for VBS. Yes, it will be after I leave, but I want to be a role model for those students. I've either taught them or I know them from school. I'm so excited to show them that you can go places and do things that God wants you to do :)

Then, I went to the gym with a friend. Great workout :) I took her home and he husband had not only kept the baby while we were gone, but he cooked us dinner!!! Had the plates made and set the table!!! Ice water in our glasses and EVERYTHING!!!! We ate....very yummy! and visited! good times :)

I was going to meet with a friend from church, but her kids were a little rowdy and she didn't think they should get to play at the park, so we will have to catch up next week.

On Friday a friend that I made last summer in Germany lives in Tennessee. She is coming to visit on Friday!!! It's kinda a mundane weekend, but very busy. But it'll be fun to hang out and show her "my route" that I'm always driving :)

This is going to be MIRACLE MAY. In the recent past May has been filled with tragedy for me. I decided that this year it was going to be filled with miracles. So far....God has showed up!!! He is so good!

Sunday is a big fundraiser day. :) Pray for a good turn out and some good outreach.

God is fantastic.....

God is moving and as a friend told me today "God is fantastic"!!!! Each day as June 1st approaches I have a choice to panic or trust. I am choosing to trust. Right now I have to have $12,000 pledged/ raised by June 1st. The deadline is fast approaching. And, each day, God is already ahead of me.

So, I was asked again on Sunday if I had thought about selling my car. My answer was yes, I had thought about it, but had "logically" reasoned my way out of it. Well, I think once I made my mind up that I needed to sell it, that was the last step that God needed for me to make so He could help me to fly! Yep, I'm walking off the cliff and He is teaching me to fly!

I have a very strong possible buyer for my car. AND all around me I have conformations everyday. I had a fleeting thought yesterday morning that I could talk to the local newspaper lady and put an article in the newspaper about my mission, but I dismissed it. Then, not 20 minutes later a teacher called me before we got to school and said when she was praying that morning she felt like God was telling her to tell me to talk to the newspaper lady and ask her to write an article. I cried and she said I laughed. GOD is fantastic! THEN, today, another person who hadn't talked to any of us caught me in the hall and told me that I should talk to her and have her write an article! I was like, ok God! I got that message!!! AND, we had already talked to her and she said she would :) I will see her in the next couple of days, so I should be in the paper next week.

THEN, after school today 2 of the teachers caught me on my way to my meeting and said they had started planning a BBQ fundraiser for May 16th!!!

I am amazed at everyone's heart and compassion everyday. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by all the friends that are around me!

So, Sunday I am taking pictures at church for donations. The next Sunday is the BBQ fundraiser. I am going to hand out flyers at the fundraiser that tell what I'm doing and where to go to donate :) Pray that this fulfills the donations that I need....and some tummies with some yummy food!!!!
